Dr. Kimberly Ciardella
Dr. Kimberly Ciardella is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) with a private practice located in Sacramento, California. She is dedicated to working with individuals, couples, and families to help them find strength in order to grow and change in a purposeful and authentic way. Kimberly has a doctorate degree in psychology with an emphasis on couple and family therapy. She has broad experience working with individuals recovering from, or in the midst of, a major life trauma and is experienced providing therapy for families that are facing terminal illness and the grief and loss that is connected to this. Kimberly also specializes in working with couples that are experiencing the effects of traumatic experiences and strengthening their relationship within the midst of these struggles. She views therapy as a collaborative process and believes we are all ultimately experts of our own lives. Kimberly is also an adjunct professor at Alliant International University, teaching future therapists in the Marriage and Family Therapy program. She is devoted to helping students make meaning of their own experiences in order to become empathic and compassionate psychotherapists. Kimberly’s life outside of her work as a therapist and teacher is filled by time spent with her family. She is the wife of a firefighter and sincerely understands the unique demands and rewards of having a partner in public safety and the culture of this field.
